At Envases, we believe the battle against climate change is one we can only win if we fight together. That is why we have proudly joined the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), an ambitious and result-driven organization that is invested in upholding the outcomes of the 2015 Paris Agreement and the 2018 Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

In the coming months, we will send out a line of communicative messages, all linked to our goals being accepted by SBTi. However, fighting climate change is not just about one company; it’s about a united front of individuals, organizations, and companies working towards a common goal: a greener future. And that is why the overall message will be: United in a Greener Future with the hashtag #GreenUnited.

The SBTi is a global, independent initiative, which allows companies to set ambitious goals for reducing CO2 emissions that are in line with the latest climate science. By setting a science based target, we acknowledge our responsibility as a significant contributor to climate change and ensure that every step we take will be in accordance with scientific recommendations.

Partykeg wins award!

Gaffel's carnival keg won a bronze medal at the international Can of the Year 2022 competition. This award has been held since 1996 and recognizes the year's most significant developments and innovations in the can packaging industry. The award was presented in Prague during the Canmaker Summit to the Öhringen-based packaging company Envases, which produced the Gaffel special edition.

The jury particularly praised the creative use of a Spotify playlist via QR code on the party keg. The carnival special keg was designed as a music box this year, with plenty of confetti and song quotes from the bands Brings and Kasalla, friends of Gaffel. In addition, there was plenty of music in the 5l can. The scanned QR code led to the Gaffel channel in the Spotify app, where the playlist contained over 10 hours of carnival music.

"We are very happy about this award and of course for our customer Gaffel," says Peer Brämer (Head of Sales Beverage) enthusiastically.
